Need Read Greed

A few weeks ago I discussed the perks of blogging, with the gift of friendship being one of them. Shortly after Blog Week, I got an email from Erika Sartain of Erika's Tea Cup. She was incredibly kind and personable. As we started to exchange emails, it felt quite natural—as though I was writing to a dear friend. Erika is a fellow military spouse, so we began discussing the nuances of this lifestyle, among a handful of other random topics. I feel incredibly blessed to have connected with her. I just had to ask her to be a part of this series, because I know you'll adore her!

  • NeedThis part makes me smile and think of my mom, who is so good about knowing the difference between a want and a need. I must be missing that gene, because I need some of these cheery dish towels.  My husband, like Ashley's, is in the military and we received a few as a wedding gift to start a collection for each place we move to or visit. Isn't that a fun idea? They really brighten up the kitchen, and I'd love to add one for my home state, California. I will especially need it because…
  • Read…I'm bound to create a big mess while reading Dinner: A Love Story. My cooking chops could use some help because my husband usually takes the cake in the kitchen (where I obviously help by bringing the corny to the table). Last year on Valentine's Day he treated me to the most incredible homemade beef rib tacos, and I'd love to use this book to return the favor. It doesn't hurt that it's also a great story and blog!
  • GreedValentine's Day aside, I'm finally ready to jump on the chambray train with this shirt as my ticket to ride- yeah Beatles! The "circle print" is a cute variation on two of my favorite words, polka and dot, but the steep price makes my wallet beg for mercy. Then again, wouldn't it make a great Valentine's Day gift? Hint hint…

Thanks for sharing, Erika! I'm loving the dish towel idea, and that chambray popover is polka-dot perfection.

Have a swell Wednesday!
Toodles,
ANF
