On this fabulous Friday in June, I sit here considering what I'll include in my inaugural blog post. The pressure is on to write something witty or include some insightful piece of information. Do I discuss food finds that I've bookmarked in hopes of making when my refrigerator is restocked and Flyboy returns? Should I rattle on about the design world and how my heart skips a beat when I see a beautifully restored barn or a crisp and industrial new kitchen? To be honest, I've followed the greats like Design Sponge and decor8 for awhile now. I've got a special folder on my computer with my favorite inspirational images and decor do's to prove it. I've wanted to start a blog of my own for awhile, but I could never convince myself to take the plunge. I was too afraid about the little things like whether or not I'd ever choose the perfect font or get the spacing right in my header. Now that I have folders upon subfolders of ideas and recipes, it's time to consolidate. While I'm a little late to jump on the blog bandwagon, it's time to share this passion and excitement!
Friends often ask me about the blogs that I follow. Once I've flooded their inbox with links, they probably regret asking. It brings me such joy! If you're around me often, you probably get tired of hearing, "I saw this one thing on a design blog..." To be honest, this little blog world is my hobby and as silly and lame as it sounds, a friend. It's the kind of relationship I can rely on. This military lifestyle is ever changing. My family, dogs and my favorite blogs bring me peace. They become a constant in my life. They're there when I need a pick-me-up. They make me feel creative and free. I can't wait to share some of these finds with you often!

It's so perfect and so you, I've got smiles on, head to toe. AB and I always talk about your colorful vocabulary and it's how you use it so eloquently. This just gives us more of a reason to celebrate it, yay! This is going up as a permanent bookmark, right this minute. Job well done, Ash!
